The boat plan we initially loved a lot was a Vagabond 20. A little sailboat of 20 feet (6 m) long, its built out of plywood and epoxy fiberglass using stitch and glue technique.

However, the design requires either a centreboard or a daggerboard and it meant including a big hole in our hull. It was what discouraged us from building it as a first boat.
Still, this boat is still very high on our list of choices for a future boat that we may be building as dad's dream has always been to own a sailboat. A VG20 or longer one (Such as VG23 or VG26) may well be our next project.
Clin D'Oeil
This boat is a very small one and is quite easy to build at home. We also loved it a lot and for a long time had planned to make one ourselves.

It is a very beautiful boat and very adapted for anyone wishing to have a first boat to know about the sea a bit. The video is really interesting.
Bolger AS19
This boat designed by a man named Phil Bolger, is a very simple design that should have been easy to build. The only facts that discouraged us from buying such a plan was that it did not seem suited for rough waters and that it might be a bit too large for our inexperienced selves.
The boat has many advantages such as simplicity and large amount of interior space and requirement of small engine power and small manageable sails.
